What the blower does

Airflow through the complete system

As the core component of the hot-air circulation system, the blower maintains steady airflow and distributes heated air evenly throughout the warming blanket, helping maintain the patient's body temperature and ensuring comfortable warmth.

FAQ

Questions from equipment manufacturers

Does E-POWER supply the complete warming unit?+

E-POWER supplies and develops airflow components for equipment manufacturers. The complete warming system, temperature control and regulatory validation remain part of the customer's equipment design.

Is a standalone airflow value enough?+

No. Hose length, blanket resistance, filter loading, heater resistance and enclosure layout all affect the actual operating point.

What data is needed to select a patient warming blower?+

Provide airflow and pressure requirements, heater and filter resistance, hose and blanket configurations, air temperature, voltage, control method, noise target, envelope and expected duty cycle.

How is airflow uniformity through the blanket evaluated?+

Testing should measure flow and temperature distribution using the intended hose and blanket at relevant settings, including representative filter loading and possible restrictions.

Can the blower speed be coordinated with temperature control?+

Yes. The equipment controller can coordinate blower speed with heater output and temperature feedback, provided the validated minimum airflow and thermal safety limits are maintained.

How can blower noise and vibration be reduced?+

Selection away from unstable operating regions, balanced rotating parts, suitable mounts, smooth airflow paths and a rigid enclosure can reduce tonal noise and transmitted vibration.

What should be considered for medical equipment compliance?+

The equipment manufacturer must define applicable safety, EMC, thermal, acoustic, biocompatibility and risk-management requirements and validate the complete warming system accordingly.

Can blower interfaces be customized for a compact enclosure?+

OEM interface changes such as mounting, inlet and outlet geometry, connectors and control wiring can be reviewed, subject to aerodynamic performance and project validation.
